What Loc Out collects

Nothing. Loc Out has no backend infrastructure, so there is no system in place that could receive, store, or process your personal data. No information about you or your device is transmitted off your iPhone by Loc Out.

Location

Loc Out asks for Always location access. It uses this for one purpose: to determine whether your device is currently inside or outside a place you have saved, so blocking can start when you arrive and stop when you leave.

This evaluation happens entirely on your device, using Apple's location services. Your coordinates are not logged, not uploaded, not shared with third parties, and not retained as any kind of history. Loc Out has no record of where you have been.

The places you save are stored locally on your device, and are removed when you delete them or delete the app.

Screen Time and Family Controls

Loc Out asks for Screen Time access so it can apply the blocks you choose, using Apple's Family Controls and Managed Settings frameworks.

When you pick apps, websites, or categories to block, that selection is made through Apple's own system picker. Apple's design means the identities of the apps you select are handled privately by the operating system and are not made readable to Loc Out. Loc Out does not read, record, or report how much you use any app.

Accounts and analytics

Loc Out has no sign-up and no login. It does not use analytics, crash reporting, advertising identifiers, tracking pixels, or third-party software development kits that collect data.

Data stored on your device

The following is stored locally on your iPhone and nowhere else:

• The places you create, including their names, coordinates, and radius.
• Your blocking selections, held in Apple's protected Screen Time storage.
• Your app settings, such as whether app deletion protection is enabled.

If your device has iCloud Backup enabled, this data may be included in your own encrypted Apple backup. That backup belongs to you and is governed by Apple's privacy policy, not this one. Deleting Loc Out removes this data from your device.

Sharing and selling

Loc Out does not sell, rent, share, or disclose personal data, because it does not collect any.

Children

Loc Out is a personal focus tool intended for general audiences. It does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and similar laws you have rights to access, correct, and delete personal data held about you. Because no personal data about you is collected or held outside your own device, there is nothing to request, export, or erase. You remain in full control of the data on your device, and deleting the app removes it.

Email you send us

If you contact support by email, your message and email address are received in an ordinary mail inbox so that a reply can be sent. Messages are kept only as long as needed to resolve the matter, and are never used for marketing or shared with anyone else.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date. Any change that affects how data is handled will be reflected here before it takes effect in the app.
